Special Announcement - Friday April 7th
I'm sure many of you have heard by now, as word can travel fast, but Mrs. Carruthers announced that she will be retiring at the end of this school year. We've been blessed to have her leadership and guidance for the past six years at Boggess, and we will miss her dearly. But, as she said herself, the focus of the staff of Boggess for the next eight weeks will not change as we work to provide the best education for each of our Boggess Bengals.
I would personally also note that this goal doesn't stop at the end of those eight weeks, but into next year and the far distant future as well.   We know that the whomever the incoming Principal will be, their goal will be the same. And the Boggess PTA will welcome them to the school and work to ensure that the transition is as smooth and as seamless as possible for everyone involved. And as sad as we all are that Mrs. Carruthers won't be in our lives as frequently, I did remind her that the Boggess PTA is always looking for wonderful volunteers for our events throughout the year, and she seemed pretty excited about that. So, we'll make sure to remind her to sign up for an account on www.boggesspta.org and complete her PISD Volunteer Application!

President, Boggess PTA
